DBR: Death Valley Circuit

Uh...

I can't make a trip to California without riding a circuit in Death Valley. So, before I do the workshop at UCSB I'll be riding in Death Valley three days. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

I have a route that takes me through the dramatic geological formations and rich history of Death Valley National Park. The route climbs up over 5,000 feet at its highest point and dips 200 feet below sea level at its lowest, traversing from rugged badlands to narrow canyons to expansive desert valleys.

Summer time is here and the livin' is hot! On my first day in the saddle the temperature forecast is 108 degrees.

I always think, "oh shit I've got to get my gear ready...." And then 30 minutes later the packing is complete.
