For The Students

This is where my head is. If I make it through the rest of the summer mentally and physically, I'm certified bomb-proof.

Below is for the week of July 9- 16 and 20 students. (And the following weeks until August 14, will be more insane. But, I need to focus on this now.)

Hi everyone,

As we move closer to departure, attendance at the June 29 meeting is extremely important. We are now at the point where individual preparation, team coordination, and launch planning all need to come together.

In addition, I need final payload weights from each team immediately. Payload weight affects balloon selection, lift calculations, launch planning, and equipment preparation. If your team has not yet finalized and reported its payload weight, please do so as soon as possible. At this point, estimates are acceptable if final assembly has not been completed, but I need a working number for planning purposes.

At this meeting, we will review travel logistics, field expectations, launch operations, safety procedures, equipment responsibilities, communications, and the final preparation timeline. The information discussed will directly affect our ability to operate effectively in the field, and everyone traveling to Iceland is expected to attend.

If you cannot attend, contact me immediately.

Before the meeting, please review the checklist below and identify any items that are incomplete or that require assistance.
