Canyonlands National Park Film Project
Yes, Iceland will be a big project.
BUT there are a couple of others before then. Specifically, White Rim. Almost three months ago I rode the White Rim trail in Canyonlands National Park. In late March I'll be returning with the goal of creating a film, working with my brother Tim Baur.
Canyonlands National Park, located in southeastern Utah, is an incredibly beautiful expanse of diverse geological formations and ecosystems created from the intricate interplay between erosion and time. The route we took is 100 miles and navigates 337,000 acres of dramatic canyons, mesas, and buttes carved primarily by the Colorado River and its tributaries, including the Green. From the photo, taken in the Island in the Sky district you are always within broad mesas and panoramic views of the surrounding canyons. As you ride the 100 mile trail you have an elevated vantage point that allows you to take in the vastness of the terrain below from breathtaking overlooks.
